Dr. John Tomblin serves as Senior Vice President for Industry and Defense Programs at Wichita State University and as Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). A Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor of Aerospace Engineering, he oversees NIAR’s 18 labs and a team of more than 750 employees, advancing research in aviation, defense, and manufacturing. His leadership has positioned NIAR as a global leader in innovation and economic impact.
