Club resignations must be made in writing and received at the Rotary Office prior to the final business day of the quarter prior to the effective date of the resignation. (I.e., resignation to be effective July 1, resignation should be received by the final Friday of June).
A resignation in good standing requires that all dues and obligations to the club (guest meals, etc.) are paid in full prior to the effective date of resignation.
Where dues or other obligations remain outstanding, the member will be classified accordingly and may be ineligible to join another Rotary club. Rotary International requires these classifications.
Where dues have been paid annually, the pre-paid dues may be applied to a new member from the same organization, recognizing that the new member is still subject to an individual application and approval process.
