The Classic Lear Jet Foundation’s Polar Mission
Celebrate the season with a special family-friendly program featuring the 2025 Polar Mission, which originated and ended right here in Wichita. Chris Marshall, Secretary of the Classic Lear Jet Foundation, will share the story of a Learjet Model 36A—designed and built in the Air Capital—that completed a “Polar Circumnavigation”, earning a Polar Circumnavigation Diploma as the first Learjet to accomplish such a flight. The presentation will cover the mission’s purpose, route, flight crew members, and the aircraft itself, including video excerpts documenting the journey.
Bring your kids and grandkids! Catering will provide a kid-friendly meal, and we’ll have festive photo ops with Andy the Elf and PENGUINS from Tanganyika!
Bring a new children’s book in lieu of paying for a child guest’s meal. All books collected will support the Rotary Reads Literacy Program and be shared with local schoolchildren.
