The Four-Way Test In the Age of AI — Session 2: Lessons Learned

The second session turns to lessons learned from implementing technologies like artificial intelligence and robotics across business, community, and education. We’ll explore the Newman Institute for Artificial Intelligence and the Common Good—how the Institute intends to impact businesses and communities, what “common good” actually means, and why Newman added those words to its title.

We’ll also hear from a working developer who is using AI and growing exponentially, even as the nature of his work changes and AI reshapes what he does. Finally, we’ll consider the role established institutions must play as we enter an age when you can’t always believe your own eyes or ears—and AI begins to blur the lines of reality.

Panel Participants: David Cochran, Robert Feeney, Father Ed Herzog, and Nic Wentling

John McElligott is the CEO of Serviti Corps and a U.S. Marine veteran who has spent more than a decade building in robotics and artificial intelligence. He founded Fortress Academy, the first licensed college for robot mechanics, licensed by the State of Pennsylvania, and among the first to be endorsed by the ARM Institute. He hosted the nationally distributed PBS series \”AI: Unpacking the Black Box,\” and is the author of Tim the Robot Wizard. He has keynoted and presented for two U.S. presidential administrations, royalty, and the National Governors Association, among others, and is internationally sought out on the topics of artificial intelligence, robotics, and other emerging and exponential technologies.
