National Institute for Culinary and Hospitality Education

January 24, 2022

Join Program Director John Michael and WSU Tech Foundation Director Courtney Sendall for a virtual tour of the under construction space.
The National Institute for Culinary and Hospitality Education (NICHE) will be operated by WSU Tech in the heart of downtown Wichita. Set to open in August 2022, NICHE will be home to the college’s Hospitality and Culinary Arts programming led by renowned chefs and Culinary Institute of America alumni John and Lexi Michael. WSU Tech’s program places emphasis on maximizing lab contact hours, with expanded options, and providing real-world experience location within the framework of innovation, sustainability, and accessibility.
Open to the public will be a first-floor food hall, a demonstration kitchen on the mezzanine level, and an indoor/outdoor event space on the rooftop – all of which add exciting new elements to Wichita’s dining, education and entertainment scenes.
