Col. Joe Deeds is the Commander of the 184th Wing at McConnell AFB, Kansas. He is responsible for preparing the largest multi-domain wing in the Air National Guard to support worldwide joint and coalition operations. The Wing employs more than 1,300 Airmen who conduct air battle management, air-to-ground special warfare, cyber protection, cyber vulnerability assessments, network security, and strategic and tactical intelligence. In addition, the Wing fields a full complement of medical operations and mission support functions, including civil engineering, contracting, force support, installation communications, logistics, and security forces. Col. Deeds also provides the Governor of Kansas with more than 1,300 Guardsmen trained and ready to respond to domestic incidents in support of Kansas citizens during their greatest time of need.
