Kurt Harper: The Russia/Ukraine Situation: These Aren’t the Troops You’re Looking For

Kurt Harper has been a member of our Club since 1995. He has served
the Wichita community as a volunteer for over 40 years! Organizations
from the Wichita Symphony to St James Episcopal to the Bar Association
have benefitted from his expertise.
Kurt has also served Rotary Club of Wichita and Rotary District 5690 in many ways
since he joined our club:

 Attended Conference on Peace and Friendship in St. Petersburg, Russia,
1997
 Hosted Exchange Student from Russia, Spring 1999
 Member, District 5690 committee for the US/Russia ICC October, 2007 to
present
 GSE Outbound Team Leader, US/Russia, 2012
 District Governor, 2019-20
Kurt has been travelling back and forth to Russia since 1974. He speaks fluent
Russian and has hosted a number of Russian exchange students and visiting adults.
He has been active in Open World, working with visiting teams from Ukraine.
In the real world, Kurt is a well respected attorney, arbitrator and mediator with
Depew, Gillen, Rathburn & McInteer, LC. In his spare time Kurt enjoys sailing, music,
reading and Jayhawk basketball as a proud graduate of the University of Kansas!
