US Smart Container Manufacturing
Join us to hear how Wichita-based RedGuard is spearheading a groundbreaking national security initiative: the development of smart shipping containers equipped with tracking, environmental sensing, and cybersecurity features. As a subsidiary of LANGE Companies and a leader in modular steel structures, RedGuard is leveraging its expertise to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign-made containers—especially from China, which currently dominates the market. Backed by a Collaborative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with U.S. Transportation Command, the Smart Container Project aims to begin prototype production in 2025 and scale to full U.S. manufacturing by 2028—establishing Wichita as the national center for smart container innovation.
Steve Petz is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at RedGuard/LANGE, where he brings over 20 years of leadership experience in sales, operations, and strategic growth.
