Tale a tour McConnell Air Force Base where you will get a Mission Brief from Col. Nate Vogel (Commander, 22nd Air Refueling Wing) and a tour of both the KC-135 and KC-46 tankers. The KC-135 is the work horse tanker for the U.S. Air Force – refueling everything from fighters to bombers to the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels. The KC-46 is the Air Force’s newest asset. McConnell is the Main Operating Base for the KC-46 and as such is qualifying it for combat use by the Air Force.
