An Update on Music Theatre Wichita Brian Marcum and Angela Cassette

Music Theatre Wichita, founded in 1972 and currently the largest subscribed not-for-profit arts organization in the state of Kansas, has attained an international reputation for excellence. In addition to producing five musical productions every summer, MTWichita annually provides employment, training, and invaluable business contacts for over 250 talented young people who work side by side with leaders in their field.

Angela Cassette, Managing Director, joined the Music Theatre Wichita staff as Development Director in 2013 and began her Managing Director role in 2019. Previously, she was Artistic Operations Director ofThe Florida Orchestra and General Manager of the Omaha Symphony. She and her husband, trumpet player and WSU Professor David Hunsicker, have two sons, Noah & Luke. Music Theatre Wichita was Artistic Director Brian Marcum’s training ground as a member of the resident ensemble while in college at Oklahoma City University. Soon after, he moved to NYC and continued to work in regional theatres across the country as well as national tours. Brian made his Broadway debut in the original cast of The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm. He continues to direct and choreograph across the country, but his home base is Wichita with his wife Jennifer and their two children Sophie and Felix.
